Due to the financial toll that COVID-19 has taken on so many citizens, Colorado has extended the deadline for filing and paying state income taxes. On March 18th, Governor Jared Polis extended the deadline for filing and paying your Colorado state income taxes to match the extension that has already been granted for federal tax returns. Per the Governor’s order, the deadline for paying your state taxes is extended to July 15th, 2020. This extension also applies to payments for 2020 taxes, due prior to July 15th. Its aim is to provide some relief to the many taxpayers who are suffering financial hardship due to the virus.
